BEACON BAPTIST CHURCH RESPONSE TO COVID-19 PANDEMIC

For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
(2 Timothy 1:7)
In times of crisis, people look to the Church for spiritual guidance and assurance that God is
with us. As the US is reacting to the COVID-19 pandemic, our church is also affected.
Recommended practices of social distancing offer new opportunities, as the Lord leads us to
believe we are in a prime position to BE the church. As a result, our in-person services are
suspended. We are streaming our Sunday morning worship at 11:00 AM on our Facebook page
(https://www.facebook.com/beaconbc/), as well as our mid-week service on Wednesday
evenings at 7:00. Some of our youth Sunday School teachers created Facebook pages and are
going live with their lessons for their classes. We are also doing “pop-up” live videos in the
evening through the week on Facebook with music, skits and other ministries. The routine
activities of our church may be disrupted by this virus, but at Beacon Baptist Church, we see no
need to hit “pause” on the Spirit-led ministry of our church.
